Well, you could always recreate the Irrlicht device when a resolution change needs to occur.

Do you have it running in full screen? I'm not sure, but I'd imagine ResolutionChange would be for a full screen application; but since you say you can see the transparent window it sounds like it's windowed.

[SOLVED!] Polygon render order problem

Hello all :)

I made a basic mesh of a house in Maya, exported to OBJ format, and loaded into Irrlicht with the following code:

IAnimatedMesh* meshHouse = smgr->getMesh("house.obj");
IAnimatedMeshSceneNode* house = smgr->addAnimatedMeshSceneNode(meshHouse);
if(house)

house->setMaterialFlag(EMF ...

There are alternative terrain generators built for Irrlicht. But even then, the size limitation isn't a very big deal in most situations. It's better practice for memory management and organization to do tile-based maps anyway, loading and unloading depending on where the camera moves.

Are you trying to use the official Irrlicht with VB.NET? If so, you'll need a .NET wrapper/port for Irrlicht such as http://irrlichtnetcp.sf.net/

Also, there is a specific forum, Irrlicht.NET for discussion on managed Irrlicht ports/wrappers, which is where this post should be.

You can arrange pricing with the modeller in question. But hopefully you could just find another hobbyist like yourself (I'm guessing) and work together, no money involved. :D
