Also be sure to write a few small games from start to finish. This will show them you have the dedication needed to complete the project at hand.

Without the Microsoft Xbox SDK it would be very unlikely anyone has deployed Irrlicht to the Xbox console.

That said Xbox has made strides to allow people to enjoy the benefits of developing for the Xbox with Microsoft brand tools.

Hello MasterGod, First of I would like to say like many areas of programming for video games. Network programming can very tricky. I would say it comes down what you want your engine to support. Simple client/server and P2P connections wouldn't be to hard catch up on if you have a good knowledge of ...

That sounds great! Please keep us posted of your progression. Like I said before and xDan also pointed out. You should use brighter colors to grab the kid’s attention more. Also cartoon shading could make the work easier for you. Solid color textures and not so much detail, I can tell you right now ...

Welcome! Those are two good classes to take online. Complete those classes and you will have a good understanding of C++. Then you will be ready to take on the challenges of programming games. Never turn off the learning switch. This is the best community to get a solid foundation in game development.

I like both the site and the iPhone skin. On the top banner and the footer the little block guys legs look pixilated. This could however be either my resolution or IE8.

I would suggest removing the ESRB rating and making up your own if you must show a rating at all. That's enough to get you in trouble if someone really wanted to make a point of it. As for the game overall it looks like you are off to a good start. I'm interested in reading more about this. The menu...

I feel your pain. When I write code, I need it to be perfect. Down the shinny little comment above it. If my code isn't neat then I'm not happy. It's a downfall these days. It's more a programmers o.c.d. I guess. Since I switch over to C# it's gotten a little better. I'm all for going back to the ju...
