This is all blender internal (not exported. My programmer handles the "scene node" stuff, so what should I tell him?

Water animate it!

Well, I've got some pretty neat water for my RTS. Two single planes, one is opaque and symbolizes "deep water". The other one is translucent, is a couple scale "feet" above the other and is "shallow water". Here are some examples below.

Update:

We've got some early screens of the first level of the demo. Some things are place holders. Some of these placeholders are obvious (the ships) and some are a little more subtle (the monotextured land). I'm pretty proud of how I got the water to turn out, although I'm not sure if I want to ...

I bet a lot of you thought this project fell through, seeing as I havent posted in over a month, but that is hardly the case. To prove it, here is an image of the first unit modeled for the game. Many more to come.

So far I can only find the blender built in exporters for .md2 and .x

the .x exporter screws up the model so that none of the verticies are connected.

the .md2 exporter says "Model has a face without a texture map" and does not let me continue.

Ok, I am not the programmer though, so for his sake, will each of those three formats be just as easy to incorporate into the game?

blender and .md2

I am currently working on a 3d RTS game using Irrlicht. And I was told the best animation format for this engine was ".md2". I was happy to see blender had an exporter for .md2, but when I tried it out on a simple infantry model, I ran into some problems. (By the way, I am using blender 2.42, so if ...

Mission 1: Operation Smokehouse

Location: Western Iran

Weather: Sunny, arid

Heh. I dont know whether to take that as an insult or as a compliment to my textual acting skills.

Back on topic, are there any programmers at all here interested? Are there any friends of programmers here that think their friends are interested? My friend and I can not do this alone (or at least ...

lol yeah only in the real world you would have to pry the guns from cold dead fingers even in none hostile territories.

Note the "by any means nescessary" part

this obviously would create world war 3 but thats a good thing for your game I guess.

As the player, your job is to prevent world war ...
