As for the segmented mesh thing. I ment that when you activatte the ragdoll your model may bend and act unexpectedly, you wont be able to hide your details so good as you do when you animate your model in a controlled environment. When this happen the segmentation of your mesh may become obvious, ta...

Alright so separate meshes. Final question I swear! If I wanted to use ragdolls (I'm sure each physics engine is different, but I'm assuming\hoping that there is some sort of "standard") would I just include a model of a full body? Our would that particular model have to have some kind of...

Yes, the easiest way is to separate the meshes. The problem will come when you try to bend your model spine so it can "look" to the mouse direction (like aiming up, etc...).

Good stuff man! Looking forward to see it completly done with some cool sample apps running..
You could also use the Proton SDK to make mobile game builds hehe, would be nice to see a WYSIWYG multiplataform editor using irrlicht ;)
Keep up the good work.

Re: MD3 Model Questions

I'm a complete noob when it comes to models and modeling (I'm a programmer doing my own modeling...don't know how well this will go...but anyways). I had a few questions about MD models in general. 1. I assume that the number in MD2, MD3, and MD5 mean there are 2, 3, and 5 different "sub-model...

It would be nice if you were more clear with what you're trying to do. I dont know if you want to flip the projection matrix of your view (to cause inversion of axis, like the x axis growing from ight to left or something) or if you want to rotate the camera so it can show the left/right side of a m...

Ever wonder if something that never started at some point, but yet exists, will ever end? Can something that doesn't start actually end or even end before then starting? :? Anyway they do say the Universe started at some point, and if it started it means it's probably going to have to end sometime....

You can do this on your modelling program, you duplicate your models faces, invert them and scale(extrude) them using local normals. This is how outline used in games like X-Men Legends are made. If you want to do this directly in Irrlicht, it will require some math knolege to execute the extrusion ...

Also, you could easily share your achievement codes to ppl, like creating a repository, or even with tutorials, that would help a lot... and it wont require linux dependencies or code line milestones.
