short int in C

My teacher insists on saying that a short int in C is going to be 2 bytes 'long' in all architectures, I could have sworn I have read many many times that C ints are in no way standar in all architectures.... some of you may have a 64 bit computer/compiler, whats the length of a short int?

So the OpenGL ARB does not even implement OpenGL?, all they do is to define what OpenGL is and how things are done in OpenGL (AKA define the OpenGL API)? this is not a great system in fact (ATI Radeon 9550, AMD Athlon XP 2000+ [ye si know i need to get a newer one :P], 256 MB RAM), but for what the demo does, i think it's fine, i checked again and it has good framerates of 55+, the problem is when i add spheres, maybe their geometry is much more comp...

Oh yes ogre has many eye candy features but, one thing i love 'bout irrlicht is its simplicity, once i tried to get started with ogre, but it was painful, while irrlicht statically links a lot fo libraries, an ogre installation needs tons of dlls, and configuring irrlicht is by far easier, ogre 'alm...
