Ruins und Bunkers in C4
Here is another new pack rendered in Irrlicht: http://dexsoft-games.com/models/images/modern/ruins1/render-9.jpg I like the shadowmapper in IrrEdit very much and the editor is very intuitive. But I also would like to have shader support and maybe some real-time shadow-mapping. But I am sure some pro...

Thanks for the nice comments. Namespace Irrlightuser: ...(What a funny name!) This scene renders with light-speed ;) But this is what I expected, since it is only one model plus a static shadow map (1024px, generated by IrrEdit). These models have LOD-stages. The building above is lod stage 0 and th...

Industrial Buildings in Irrlicht
Hi, I just wanted to show some images of our industrial buildings in Irrlicht / IrrEdit: http://www.dexsoft-games.com/models/images/modern/industrial4/irredit3.jpg http://www.dexsoft-games.com/models/images/modern/industrial4/irredit2.jpg http://www.dexsoft-games.com/models/images/modern/industrial4...

Normal Maps
Virion: Yes, all models have diffuse, spec, height and normal maps. But to be honest: I did not manage to activate them in IrrEdit. So this picture shows only static shadows. For a real-time game some normal maps could look good in close distance. But if you are a bit away from a model then this is ...

Our models in Irrlicht / IrrEdit
Hi, we launched a new model pack and like last time I rendered them in Irrlicht again. I found out that the b3d format works best if models have several textures applied. http://www.dexsoft-games.com/models/images/modern/middleEast/render-21.jpg This is a screenshot directly from IrrEdit. More detai...

I see. But then there is no advantage for me anymore. I can concept a model. I used to learn painting in a painters atelier. But it would be inspiring and time-saving if I get good concepts and do only the modelling job. So we all are on the winner side. If I do everything on my own then I will just...

Yes. This would be great, especially if IrrEdit would support Normalmaps directly. To be very honest to you: I use several game-engines and tools to test my models, textures and levels. But the IrrEdit editor is a real good tool. The handling is easy right from the beginning, light-mapping works gre...

Our latest model pack rendered in Irrlicht / IrrEdit
Dear fellow game developers , we finished our latest model pack: sci-fi machines. And we are proud to show you that we had much fun to play with it in IrrEdit (importing the models as .x files). The shadow mapper is very good and the editor is very intuitive. I hope that Normalmapping will work soo...

Back on topic though, that model looks great, and the interior even more amazing. By the way, what 2 realtime 3D engines did you use? Thank you very much. For creating models we use standard modelling software at Dexsoft. In my case it is Lightwave3d and TheGIMP and sometimes a bit help from ZBrush...

I could show you some in-game images made with 2 different engines, but that would not be so nice towards irrlicht. But I can assure you, that our contents look very good in-game since we deliver normal, spec and height maps. So you can render with normal or parallax mapping or even horizon mapping....
