Normal Maps

Virion: Yes, all models have diffuse, spec, height and normal maps. But to be honest: I did not manage to activate them in IrrEdit. So this picture shows only static shadows. I see, but then you get into trouble with tiling textures sacrificing details.

All the indoor renderers like BSP can render with several textures per level so it must be manageable in real-time 3d.

I see. But then there is no advantage for me anymore. I can concept a model. I used to learn painting in a painters atelier. I usually don't work for free. But I can imagine to work for free given the fact I get good reference pictures and I am allowed to sell the models later in our shop.

Back on topic though, that model looks great, and the interior even more amazing. By the way, what 2 realtime 3D engines did you use? Thank you very much. For creating models we use standard modelling software at Dexsoft. In my case it is Lightwave3d and TheGIMP and sometimes a bit help from ZBrush...

I could show you some in-game images made with 2 different engines, but that would not be so nice towards irrlicht. But I can assure you, that our contents look very good in-game since we deliver normal, spec and height maps. So you can render with normal or parallax mapping or even horizon mapping....
