Hi. in the first and 2nd rendering it's obvious that the initial shape was a square, there are some artifacts. maybe you could start from a circle. for the later renders, hm it reminds me of a heightmap and the same result could be produced with a diamond style subdivision for an area, coloring in b...

oh i see, so it's still one object. that's a pitty. the idea was that i would like to break a large terrain into patches, but having a number of patches inside one .3ds file so that 1) i don't have thousands of files ( one for each patch ) and 2) don't have to access the disk each time i'd like to l...

a) that's good ( i'm not a modeler so i don't know much about it. ) about b). No i don't want to load all scene from a file. I just want to have several meshes in a single .3ds or .obj file and load only those that I want at times. You may ask why don't i save those meshes in separate files, the ans...

SceniX
Hi. has anyone tried nvidia sxenix ? seems kinda promising - particularly since in the next version it will offer interactive raytracing - and supports many features. I can't tell for sure it's a 3D engine or something less ( a higher lvl API/wrapper to opengl, but not high enough to be considered a...

gui+antialiasing
i'm not sure if this is a bug so i'm not posting it in the bug section. if it is well then just move the topic there.
When applying antialiasing from nvidia control panel, the gui text gets screwed up.
