Yeah, those tutorials on our wiki are the first place to start.

The SDKs come with sample projects for you to build - you have to copy in a Irrlicht SDK to the CEGUI directory, and then edit the CEGUISamplesConfig.h to enable use of the Irrlicht engine. We did not include precompiled versions ...
