Re: Free modeling tools from DAZ
Well, that`s why noone`s using it. I want my game content to be unique anyway, even if this means many hours of "extra" work.

Re: Screenshot of the Month February 2012 [Submit now!]
Some actual colourful karts in the background would make it much better. What I see right now is- "Super Tux Kart" - pond, rock, path. Where are the karts?

Re: Free modeling tools from DAZ
IMO they`re just trying to earn popularity in the non-artist users. I don`t know a single (know over 50) artist that likes and/or uses DAZ studio. It`s like FPS Creator or 3d Gamemaker to the programmer. Bryce is maybe better- I`ve used some very old version for a project or two long ago in the past...

Re: Irrlicht Math headers for custom project
You simply keep the license notes in the sources untouched, you may add the irrlicht license.txt in your Licenses folder (if you don`t have, you`ll create one eventually) and mentioning somewhere Irrlicht in your credits/and/or public documentation would be nice. I believe this is enough to keep you...

Nevermind that, I`m really glad we at least had an entry. It`s a start. Better luck in future presentations.

Re: RPG Sword
not very realistic though... still cool. First, the model is nice, and second the guy gives it absolutely for free. And whether you`re aware or not, Mr. Art, but a fantasy sword for RPG games isn`t meant to be realistic at any cost. We`ve all seen some of your works sir ( aaammmsterdddam.deviantart...

Re: cogles2fixedpipelineshaders embed shader file
So, you just copy the shader program and paste it in the .cpp. Then load it as a string (const c8 VertexShader[] = "MyShaderCodeGoesHere, VertexShader, PixelShaderBlaBlaETC."; ), what`s the problem? The shaders usually are in separate files just for user convenience. Then you use the addHi...

Try brighter and more specific light color like red? Are you sure the range of 1.0f is enough?

No idea. I simply say what I feel I need to say, and say nothing when I have nothing to say. You can call it what you want.ent1ty wrote:Oh god, are you one of those artsy types?

It may be nice to ship the binaries with libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll and libstdc++-6.dll so they work out-of-the-box.

Re: Question about Irrlicht license
The third point means that if you copy-paste a whole source file you shall not remove the first few lines, showing your respect and appreciation to the guys who sacrificed some of their time, so you don`t have to waste yours. That`s all. I doubt anyone will ever have some problem with that.
