That was a nice crop of the end of my sentence :) Of course, what you will lose was a few words later, aka, respect ^^ Ah, now I understand what you were trying to say. Karma isn't something that you gain or lose in my mind, it's something that you cause . Respect, on the other hand, is much more t...

Also, one general tip. No matter how unfair or inappropriate you think the comments are from an elder of a community, unless you are VERY certain it was out of place or it goes against rules from said community, DON'T. ATTACK. THEM. You will lose There is no need for me to attack rogerborg. I'm not...

I was an honour and a privilege to look into this for someone so busy and important. I'll bet it was, not that I ever used the word "important" or implied that I am indeed an important person. I'm sure we can both agree that taking the time to make a sample application would have been tim...

If you provide a simple application and resources that replicates the bug, someone is more likely to investigate it. Simply raising the ante by filing this as a bug is unlikely to have the desired effect . Absolutely, I was merely waiting to see if anyone would take notice before I take time out of...

[Solved]SceneNode Parenting and GetSceneNodeFromRayBB

This thread is a continuation of where I left off in my previous thread in the Advanced Help forum where I received no replies regarding the issue at hand, so I can only assume that this is a bug. The issue concerns the functionality of GetSceneNodeFromRayBB after parenting a scene node to another. ...

Actually, before the thread is closed, I have another problem.

After the additional mesh is parented to the bone node, I seem to no longer be able to select any other scene nodes using getSceneNodeFromRayBB than bone nodes that belong to the character model. Any ideas?

Yes he does. There was a bug with children of joints being drawn twice. The current trunk of svn has that fixed, along with several other bugs. I compiled a new dll from the latest version from svn and configured VS to look for the new include and library directories, but then when I tried to run t...

I take it you mean use the current version located in trunk, yes?

(I've always used release versions )

EDIT: I'm using 1.4.1 by the way.

[Solved]Mesh "Ghosting"

Hey there, I've been working on an action role-playing game for the last few months and I've suddenly been faced with a serious problem. The way I handle adding additional meshes the character such as weapons and armour is to; load the mesh in, attach it to an IAnimatedSceneNode* and then add that s...

I patched it with the version 9 patch and then I get 'DLL <C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009\PlugIns\b3dexp.dle> is not made for this version of the program.' Is there a 2009 patch that I'm missing here? EDIT: I installed 3ds Max 2008 so that I could at least try exporting to B3D. First I expor...

I'd try that, but I just get an error from 3ds Max (2009) after installing the plugin:

'DLL <C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009\PlugIns\b3dexp.dle> failed to initialize. Error code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.'

Compatibility issue with 2009? :(

As a test, I made an entirely new mesh for the left shoulder pad. It works. So, does anyone know if there's any hidden attributes carried over when you clone a mesh that could be causing the displacement? EDIT: I think I might have found the problem. Right shoulder pad: http://www.tomo.pwp.blueyonde...
