What is everyone else using to make their models for IRRLicht? Yes like Guest suggested, have you tried to load your model without using "MakePlanarTextureMapping" when i load a 3ds textured model into irllicht i don't use any command to apply my texture. It seems like 3ds (keeps the uv coords) and apply textures automaticaly that's why when u load in...

you can try to scroll the map from up to down and have your character moving within the screen area with your camera attached to it.

i began a small 3D shootemup and i found it easier to do that way :)

3ds has never supported animation. .3ds does support animation :) i have already animated a mesh and exported it from 3DSmax in the .3ds format and you can believe me it keeps the animation data of objects but not bones. I have the same Problem when i try to load a 3DS with animations. It seems like Irrlicht can't load or play animation data of 3ds files but i can be wrong as i am very new to Irrlicht. What i' m sure about is that 3DS keeps the aniamtion of objects (though it doesn't support skin). So same as Albert...

It works for me, now i can use DIRECTX to render my scenes compiled with DevC++.
