The same DirectX/B3D animation bug also happens with MeshViewer.exe from the irrlicht-1.6 SDK.

Works fine here. Animated directX file with unwelded material borders. 3 materials/3 textures.

ah, that's a good solution, I just ended up UV Mapping my characters and texturing them that way... takes more time to lay it out but works fine as well


The next updated version of UU3D will have a tool to unweld material borders. You can fix your entire model with a single click.

Somebody should add it to the bugtracker.

I reported this as a bug.

You can fix it by unwelding your faces at the material borders.

Bug importing animated DirectX files

When importing animated DirectX files into irrEdit v1.5, animation is corrupted when the DirectX file has multiple materials.

Specifically, if two faces share an edge, but are assigned to two different materials, animation will be corrupted and you'll get
this error message:
"X loader: Duplicated ...
