that's really fun : i've just compiled the code but every time i had an error, i comment it with //... and it works ! but no sound when playing and a smoother video but a little bit slower than what she should be .
so i guess that when i can use boost, it will work fine :) i just have to find boost ...

my mistake...
i've tried your latest code with openAL. it works fine (you've done a great work, ffmpeg is horrible and very little information about it on the web), no more issue of crash (so we have to link openAL otherwise we can have some stability issues - i guess - )
