I feel quite dumb for not knowing that by now.
Thanks, Mel.

What Is Missing From Irrlicht?
I haven't been on these forums in a bit ( again ), but I've come back with a question not geared towards my personal benefit, but more of what could lead to a community benefit.
Anyway, as the title says, I'm a bit curious as to what functionality Irrlicht is currently missing?

Sorry, need a little help.
So, I've been prying over what to do this some and I've decided to make some additions to Irrlicht. I won't be sharing what exactly, for the time because as I want to make sure it is perfect before I say anything.
However, I need to make some additions to the IrrlichtDevice class, but I cannot seem ...

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
Hahah, good to know, very good to know. I think Zoe Lofgren(hope I spelled her last name right) kinda finished it off with the point on DNS' design and how it'll affect the whole structure of society. I mean honestly, the government already has enough control on the internet here in the USA, they ...

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
I thought you meant something entirely different from that, hahaha. Now I feel, entirely retarded.
Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I was watching the SOPA debate, praying such a retarded thing doesn't get passed. -sigh-

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
Haha, I'm actually not looking into deferred rendering atm, just basic forward rendering. I'm trying to figure out what Radikalizm means by "Spotlights require a perspective projection with a correct FOV according to the angle your light covers" I haven't been able to find anything on google about ...

Hmm, I hadn't really thought about it like that.
I owe you one for helping me through my troubles, Radikalizm, thanks.

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
What about point lights? and why exactly would a spot light 'require' persay, a prospective projection?
Trying to figure all of this out, is killing me, because several books go over the techniques, but don't describe how they came out to use certain values for certain situations.

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
So, I've got my basic principal mapped out of how I'm going to go about this, although I'm not positive my way of doing things is the 'industry' or 'pro' standard, here is basically what I'm doing.
I have a structure called 'ShadowLight', every 'ShadowLight' has a pointer to a LightSceneNode, it ...

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
Alright, so I just reformatted this PC(the one I do my little 'experiments' on) so I'm about to get back to trying to implement this here shadow mapping, I'm starting to wonder if I should make certain shadow casters 'non-active' (thus not drawn in the depth map) for certain light points, but I'm ...

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
Thanks again, Radikalizm.
I know how shadow mapping works in a simplistic basis, but thanks for rephrasing, brought a little bit of new light.
On Post-Processing effects:
Okay, sweet I was figuring that is how it worked, rendering the processed effects to a render target texture, then displaying ...

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
Okay, I hate to bring up this discussion, but shaders...I've been looking at things like XEffects and in XEffects, BlindSide uses a polygon positioned infront of the camera which is used as a render target to call of the post-processing and shadow effects, but my question is, how is he combining all ...

Re: A New Discussion From Me.
Very interesting, I'll have to figure out exactly how to do that, I get what you mean, basically a quad, with no depth that just stays on the screen at all times, right?
Ah
By the way, Rad, I know what you mean, that is exactly what I plan on doing, I totally forgot about that..

Could you explain better? See that is kinda what I didn't understand.
