Re: Rin's Quest [NOW AVAILABLE]
I just played the Demo, it's pretty cool! I have a minor gripe though: 'There's no way to turn your hero without taking a step forward.' Personally I think I'd be nicer if you could tap an arrow key quickly for facing that way, and holding down the key to step in that direction (I recall this being...

Re: Rin's Quest [NOW AVAILABLE]
Congrats on completing it! :) I'm tempted to buy it right now (<£10 is hardly going to break my finances) but the final build is not ready on the website yet? Well atleast it isn't possible to download the full version, wil you send the game binary by email? The final version of the game is already...

Re: Rin's Quest [NOW AVAILABLE]
Congratulation for release :-) What I'm missing is definitely a demo. And (as usual) a Linux port :-( A demo version might be released somewhere during the next week. I'll let you know more once I know more ; ). As for Linux; as long as your version of Linux is Debian-based, you might get lucky; th...

The game will be available for a modest price; a necessity for us to be able to continue developing games.REDDemon wrote:the style is just great as it is for me . Does the game will be free ? (stupid question XD)

Re: Rin's Quest
SSAO might be something worth experimenting with. Who knows, it might be added in an update if it works for this game : ).Mel wrote:Awesome i am tempted to ask you to to add it SSAO, but i think it would break the retro style. Great, totally great.
Thanks for the suggestion.

@nikoomba , great! I wonder if there are any animations in that game... Anyway, GREAT! You're my favorite this month... For now =) There are animations, but they stick to the grid, so that it looks like sprite animation. No smooth rotations in our game : ). Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Properly cleaning meshes when they're no longer necessar
try using valgrind memory check tool if you're using linux or Visual leak detector if you're under windows and have access to visual studio. Thanks for the recommendations, will do. The memory problem is now solved, I basically just cleared everything that I could find on the device, scenemanager a...

Re: Properly cleaning meshes when they're no longer necessar
Interesting, the memory doesn't increase indeed..
I'll have to see what else might be wrong in my actual project then.
Thanks for your help, I'll let you know if I find the actual problem with my game.
Have a great day! : )

Re: Properly cleaning meshes when they're no longer necessar
It doesn't remove meshes or textures. Why? Because they might be used by other nodes. Also if it did it would mean that if you tried to add another node with same texture(s), mesh(es) it would need to reload them from disk, thought probably it would just crash because of missing resources. If you n...
