How can I use the "pymdl2mesh.py"? I mean what is this .py file or how can I use it to convert the files to Ogre Mesh? And what do you Duncan Mac Leod recommand, pymdl2mesh or mdl2mesh? You will need support for Python ( http://www.python.org/ ) if you want to use .py files (needed for py...

Why go a long and hard road?

Just use one of the two existing and working NWN to Ogre Mesh converters...

and

AFAIK Irrlicht now supports loading of Ogre Mesh format...

What a nonsense! Just like my old car which needs an engine with more power, bigger wheels and a chassis like a Lamborghini Gallardo  !

Nice graphics... - but it's just another FPS - no story, no fun! boring...

It's a shame to waste money on developing such games...

Just my 2 cents,

Re: does it work in linux?

wait i don't get it can we (linux users) or can we not use irrKlang? From Hybrid's comments it didn't seem like we could AFAIK irrklang only runs on win32 at the moment - take a look at the download page - there is only one SDK for win32 => http://irrklang.irrlicht3d.org/downloads.html

We're sorry to announce that due to extremely limited financial capabilities and due to the Irrlicht limited (for now) capabilities we-re postponing the project and will eventually get it running on the Direct3D 10 API. Why then not use another Engine (i.e. Ogre3D) ? Why wait for DX10? You mentione...

No response yet? I thought the situation of starting from the beginning as a programmer with lots and lots of graphics done already would be appealing in a scene where you mostly wait for others to finish their job or to make it all yourself. Wait and see I guess... Maybe it has something to do wit...

Re: Can Irrlicht Do Point & Click control

1) I'd just like to make sure that Irrlicht is capable of creating the kind of game that I'm interested. 3rd person 'Roleplaying Action/Adventure' games, in the style of NeverWinter Nights or Dungeon Siege. To make the player move, you simply click a point on the ground and the player moves to that...
