Irrlicht Engine

Hi, I'm very new to this and have tried googling the question but: Is there a pre-exiting format/system to save a "level" or "area" that can record and then subsequently load into the scene manager. Should be able to load up buildings, terrain, placement of models, lighting etc. ...
