Are there any tutorials that cover this by any chance?Mel wrote:Store the meshes in the graphics card. 28 meshes fed each time to the graphics card is an important bottleneck.

Drastic Frame Drop After Adding Meshes
I seem to have run into another strange difficulty. I'm getting a drastic frame drop after adding 28 models of around 800 vertices each. This and a simple player tick which moves my player mesh side to side are the only things happening in the scene. All models are .obj format exported using MeshLab ...

Lighting Issues
I've just attempted to add both a directional light and an ambient light to my scene, neither seem to have effected the single model I have currently. Along with an ambient light, this is how I've added my model to my scene:

Re: Class isa IMeshNode or hasa
I realise that I didn't quite word my question too well. What I really meant was when adding a new node using the scene manager it returns a pointer. The pointer being returned was NULL, I'm not quite sure what the reason behind this is. I'd just like to add that adding any other Node (such as ...

Re: Class isa IMeshNode or hasa
Cheers randomMesh, I was leaning towards that due to the usual complications it causes. One other small issue I encountered was attempting to use the scene manager to add a node with only a name as a parent for all my other nodes. However the pointer it was returning was NULL. I realise now that ...

Class isa IMeshNode or hasa
Hey everyone, I've recently gotten into Irrlicht for a small personal project, I was wondering what everyone's more experienced opinions were on some inheritance topics. Is it more functional in Irrlicht to have your base game classes inherit from the likes of say IMeshNode or have an instance of an ...
