Irrlicht Engine

I am looking for a 3D engine that I can use on the Casio Prizm, and I was led to Irrlicht by its ability to run without OpenGL or Direct3D, etc. however, the engine itself is fairly strong, and I'm wondering if such an engine could really work on such a tiny platform.
