I've been waiting for an answer to this myself. OctTree meshes was the first thing I tried with irrEdit, and when I seen that lightmapping didn't effect the mesh, I was sorely disappointed. I figured this must be for terrains or something, and that it was only I who had a mis-understanding of octTre...

Fragmotion http://www.fragmosoft.com/ supports weighted vertices. It also exports out to x, ms3d, and b3d, that are discussed here. I often use it to convert models to a wide varity of games. I believe Fragmotion also adds weighted vertices to the ms3d format, but I'm sure Irrlicht would need to rea...

I think the lua wrapper is absolutely wonderful!!! :) I'm looking forward to the next release, but take your time. I'm just letting you know that I am very much interested in your project. I really like lua a lot. I can't program in C++ that good, but lua I can understand, and I don't need a compile...

Good question. I too would like to know the answer. Perhaps it is the python script? What is the reason for the bone weights set to 1.0 before exporting from Blender?

IrrLua and IrrWizard are the two main reasons I come here. I'd like to see some game project made from them. I believe they are excellent projects. maybe combine them into an excellent game! :) I'm not a programmer, but I am able to compile them. I would love to help with any project made from them....
