hmmm

Not sure but maybe they are having the same problems as me/
The collision for meshes is diff then that of terrian as one uses
createOctTreeTriangleSelector
and the other
createTerrainTriangleSelector
The terrian triangle selector works for crap for me and I fall into my terrian all the time and see ...

Thanks Spintz

Well lets hope that this changes/ I was very happy to see so many diff
transparency options tell I started to try and use the lol.
The engine seems pretty worthy of doing quite a bit of load well with my system anyway lol.

I checked out some very nicely scripted addons that people have created for ...

Text yes Text lol

It seems that many others have a hard time getting use to making the text work well/ I have read about the true type font systems and would much rather have a generated font then to use textures but I gues this
will work.

The questions I have is id like to create a chat box for an app id like to ...

You are talking about a real life library?
I dont see how a building outside and inside both fully loaded would
effect things unless you plan to load a half of a million polys.

I dont know about you but basic shelfing is a few polys a simple block for each book/ Its just how good of a texture ...

I use 3ds max and caves are a breeze to make in it.
I would think that gmax the free copy would have same abilltiys.

Start with tube and then play with the modifiers you wont have any problems making very awsome looking caves with it that you directly
load into engine without any changes neaded ...

Oh I now see what your saying about the changing the texture my way.
I dont want the game to lag while loading the texture so yes maybe
your way might be the best ill just create a small file with all this and
see if I can create a function out of it to use when needed.

Thank you very much for ...

How about this idea?

list tex ["tex1","tex2"];
string current_tex = "tex1";

/// CREATE THE TIMER TO INCREMENT THE LIST ///
//// CHANGE THE CURRENT_TEX TO THE NEW IN LIST ///

nodetree1 = smgr->addAnimatedMeshSceneNode(meshtree1);
nodetree1->getMaterial(0).EmissiveColor.set(0,0,0,0);
nodetree1 ...

I see you located it in the while loop of the device run?
Is this where it should be or could one create a event reciver?
And the list is what I was asking about in the first place.
But your idea looks fine as well just kinda makes me wonder
if those textures are actually being loaded and stored ...

Interesting/
Im not quite sure what you mean by PRELOAD the textures?
Load them on what and load them into what?
It would still need to be in memory someplace and then be reloaded
onto the mesh right?
You got any examples to what your point is your making im kinda not
sure to what your saying here ...

Updating textures on the fly!

Hello im looking to use a list of textures that are hardcoded in a list.
I then want to call these textures with a timer event so many seconds

Im prety sure it will change the actual string value but will the texture on the ...
