sorry I should have been clearer. I didn't mean the larger of the two bytes is the most significant byte, but rather the 16^x place that the byte would actually represent. In the case of my example(09C4), 09 represents 16^3 and 16^2 repectively. at least this is my understanding, and i can be wrong....

not that I claim to know this, far from it, but from hacking my ultima 3 characters back in the day I had to deal with this. Ok so if the PC is little endian, it is storing the most significant byte last. So for example if i wanted to represent the decimal number 2500 in hexidecimal (09C4) on the PC...

models sometimes stop drawing while passing screen edge
I have models (rotating randomly) that sometimes when they start to go off the edge of the screen, they stop drawing. Upon further research I used the player model which I have more control over to help look at the problem and noticed that it disappears prematurely only at certain rotation angles, o...

q3map2 is based off of the the code for q3map, which is an id product. which means that while q3map2 isn't developed by id, it uses their code, which will need a lisence. ydnar did post in that thread, but it reguarded the cost to lisence the tools, $5k, and it was after it was established in that t...

because there still seems to be some confusion, hopefully this will help clear it up: You can't use radiant or q3map2 commercially, and you can't use the quake 2 stuff commecially, just because its GPL doesn't mean its free to make a profit from, Id still lisences quake 2 technology and i believe qu...
