sorry I should have been clearer. I didn't mean the larger of the two bytes is the most significant byte, but rather the 16^x place that the byte would actually represent. In the case of my example(09C4), 09 represents 16^3 and 16^2 repectively. at least this is my understanding, and i can be wrong....

not that I claim to know this, far from it, but from hacking my ultima 3 characters back in the day I had to deal with this. Ok so if the PC is little endian, it is storing the most significant byte last. So for example if i wanted to represent the decimal number 2500 in hexidecimal (09C4) on the PC...

I have models (rotating randomly) that sometimes when they start to go off the edge of the screen, they stop drawing. Upon further research I used the player model which I have more control over to help look at the problem and noticed that it disappears prematurely only at certain rotation angles, o...

yeah you need a compiler, you'll be doing a lot of coding, you'll need to compile your code, but you won't need to compile the engine, unless you're doing changes to it.

Okay, well reseting back to defaults in maya sure helped. can see things now. so that problem is solved for now. Still baffled about the teleportation offset.

ok it seems that everything i make in maya now does not take light... seeing how i'm only a beginer in maya, i'm going to assume i screwed up some setting when i was messing around with maping UVs and such...

i'll have to reset my settings some how...
