I dunno how the other members will feel about this, but I think it's a great idea! :D I LOVE retro remakes, and some of the one's being made at http://www.remakes.org are pretty darn good. My only concern is that I will get so carried away with my retro remake that I'll neglect the bigger project! :...

Testur >> I have seen Project Looking Glass before, and have to admit it looks great. I don't ever plan to try to implement windows in 3D (rotate, flip, etc) for two reasons: (1) I don't really think it's very good from a usability point of view, and (2) to be completely honest - I have no idea wher...

Niko >> Glad you like it! :D Obviously most of the credit goes to your engine. Just don't change it too much or I'll have more work to do  (BTW: New site layout is very nice) Ronin >> I'd be interested to hear what other 3D desktops you'd tried, particularly what didn't work for you. Wouldn't ...

Passing a value to routines in the Irrlicht DLL?
Hi all, I am modifying the CIrrDeviceWin32.cpp in order to change how my actual Irrlicht window is created (frameless, Z-ordering, etc.) which has worked fine so far. Now I want to be able change things at runtime. Specifically, I want to be able to pass a value from my Main irrlicht program to this...

very neat. I have never seen a 3d decktop mod that wasn't related to longhorn. Anyways, I think it would be very cool for you to create an editor. If you are ever going to retail this, create a free demo with a couple presets, then in the retail version have an editor and the ability to load severa...

Well here it is :D ... the first public release of my 3D desktop replacement, now titled: eScape . This installer can be obtained in the Downloads section of my site . There is loads more work to do, but the main concepts are here. There are three icon panels, which can be activated by hovering over...

Just an idea, but does anyone know if SEvent can be customised without changing the Irrlicht source? That way, I wonder if I could just add in some extra custom event types (such as Double-click, Drag and maybe SelectedNode) so that I just have my main Event Routine, which calls all my objects' OnEv...
