i folks,
with the new haxe its now possible to code c++ in to haxe .
so i try to bind irrlicht directly and this is the result.

Irrlicht + SDL2 + Android
hi folks
i'm not god with word's but this is my project , irrlicht full integrated with SDl2 usig the port of Irrlich for android.
the idea is to manage windows/input/assets/audio with sdl2 and the render with irrlicht
and use the java from sdl , i full integrate the admob sdk
this is the demo ...

Vex i compile Irrlicht 4 android and windows with gles1 and sdl2 for handle events/assets/window/sound
and work fine .

Vox if you want we can work together , i can update all the work to git.
i made some tests and to build the library i have lots of typecast and this way the fps drops
so the wraper i think will be more faster .

for some years i used the Irrlicht on delphi with irr4delphi
but this last year I have done a few things with the new multi platform language (Haxe http://haxe.org ) today i make wrapper for irrlicht.
my dream is to make this for linux/windows/android

but now i want to use pure directx and some of the best of irrlicht like models material .
to make more simple the shader on the wrapper i modify the engine just 2 render directx

I think the best people to answer your questions will be on the Delphi forums, I am maintaining an Irrlicht Wrapper for FreeBasic that has received some interest there, enough to keep me going with it. I am sure that unless their is a competitive library already established that a Delphi wrapper ...
