It is already using Tao.OpenGL. Although plans are afoot to get rid of this dependency as well. SDL is another matter. We dumped it because we wanted to restrict the number of unneeded dependencies. Tao.SDL requires another two files to be distributed with it. We can target Linux without Tao.SDL. Wh...

Re: graphics and design support
So where are we at exactly? See above. Still going slowly but surely. I'm not giving up on this at all. However my time is limited and I find myself having to prioritise towards my paying job.. Whenever I have a spare few hours I check out irrsharp and work on it. As things progress further along, ...

You mean we actually get to see the code we're gonna help develop? <chuckle> That sounds like a good idea austcro. Let's get this show on the road. Why of course! You were anyway. I just don't want to put it in the CVS until we're all happy with it. But there's likely to be bugs so don't hold your ...

Braneloc, good to hear from you. I was just thinking however morbid it may sound, it could be very possible that I die tomorrow, or even become incapacitated in some way. :) So just in case, I've added you to the admin list. :) Wouldn't it be bad if nobody couldn't get into sf and apply updates. Wel...

Documentation is key with this kind of stuff - don't fall into the traps others do. Don't forget what happened to Axiom. ...also, keep the CVS active, and good luck !! Yeh, I hear you on this. Unfortunately doco is the most tedious part of this. I've already spent a significant amount of time docum...

the_bob I have it on good authority that the_bob is excellent with this sort of thing That looks great. I guess I was right. :D valnarus: You are correct in your assessment. Generics will allow us to get rid of all the typesafe collections I have already implemented. And speed it right up. And struc...

Whoa, that's more like it. I seriously didn't expect this to capture so much interest :!: Ok here goes, Valnarus, Braneloc: I totally agree with you both. IrrlichtSharp should be a .NET 2.0 engine. However, where I work we are still using .NET 1.1. Yeh, it feels like the dark ages but you ca...

Hey austcro, am I supposed to be able to compile this source that comes with the Irrlicht download or is there another place I can download the most recent stuff? Or is it not capable of compiling yet in the first place? Also, which IDE are you using to write your code? Phew, finally got back here....
