Why dont you set up a event receiver to understand a mouse click and release. Find the position of the mouse when clicked. I am using a FPS camera. I create my initial terrain using addTerrainSceneNode. I then create a triangle selector using createTerrainTriangleSelector. I then attach the collision animator using createCollisionResponseAnimator.
