I bet it's funny to watch him walk lol.
Well, due to time constriants I had to model/texture/animate it in less than 8 hours.

It's in fact quite funny to watch it walk.... I'm not very proud of it hehe

Very nice, i'd really like to try it out. Any chance you will release an executable to the public?

I'm not sure yet about what I'm going to do with it, although it's highly possible that I will release a public version in the near future.

However, before releasing any public version I would like ...

Cool project. This level is .bsp ?
No. All models were created using 3Ds Max 6. The environment was then lightmapped exported to my3d. The animated models were exported to b3d.

3D Interactive reconstruction of a 18th century farm

I have done this as a end career project. Unfortunately I had a very tight timeline, so I had to abandon some features.

I would also like to thank everybody from this forums who has helped me solving the issues I found during development, which were a lot and I'm sure I couldn't have solved without ...

Well, I have to deliver my project the 16th of february... so in case the patch is not ready then, I shortened the animations.

Thanks a lot for your help :)

Freeing resources [SOLVED]

Hello,

In my project there's a system that depending on the player position a different image appears on screen.

Since only one image can be seen at a time, I thought I'll use the same ITexture for all of them. The problem is that when I overwrite the ITexture with a new texture, the old one is ...

Thanks then, I'll wait for the patch... for now I've just shortened the length of the 2 animations.

I'm using Irrlicht 1.1 (I have been upgrading without problems since 0.14). I'm not using 1.2 because when I tried it, some my3d models I have which use alpha channel were drawn as if they were solid.

Since my project is nearly complete now, I decided just to stick with 1.1.

The fps drop is from ...

Animated models and slowdowns

Hello,

I've finally managed to solve some performance problems I had in the past with irrlicht (I was not loading a mesh correctly), and nearly doubled the fps.

However I've added some low poly animated models to the scene (22 models, to be exact). All models are made with 3D Studio Max 6, use ...

Thanks, I have solved the FarValue problem, although I still don't know what I have done wrong... now it seems it's adjusting correctly, except that it needs around 2 seconds to adjust... very strange... it acts as if fps were not calculated every frame like I told it to do.

About the Zbuffer it's ...

FarValue and Zbuffer question

Hello,

I've been experimenting issues with performance for some time now. Today I tried to add a function which changes camera FarValue depending on the fps.

First of all I tried to change between 2 fixed values when fps where above or below 25 and it worked as expected. But as I was also ...

Thanks.
Blitz 3D (.b3d) works great for me in 3Ds Max 6.

Is there any advantage to use the .x format instead of .b3d which can be exported in a much easier way?

I had a lot of problems when using ms3d format. I ended up using b3d instead which milkshape exports without problems.
