I use Redhat 9 here at work, because the people here who really know about Linux use Redhat - as do our Linux servers. So if I have a problem I've got experts immediately to hand. :)

Personally I think that if the engine is good enough, the best 'splash screens' for 3d games are ones rendered in real time by the engine itself.
Unfortunately ATM I can only think of X-Beyond the Frontier and X-Tension as examples of games which do this...

Fixed-point math

Is there potential for someone (with more ability than myself) to port the irrlicht engine to fixed-point maths?
I'm thinking that writing/porting irrlicht programs for handheld consoles (most of which don't have FPUs AFAIK) would be a very cool thing, no?

Specifically, I'm thinking about the GP32 ...
