Wow thats some gorgous modelling, looks like you won't need SSAO for that map alone since baking ao already yields quite a bit of realism. Too bad I can't try for myself because I'm stuck lightmapping maps with gile[s] because cinema4d don't have a lightmapper (and lazy to learn blender). http://pix...

Hey, nice site, I like the layout and background of your navigation header is that a rim lighting model? You can fix the glitches of the buttons by defining a set width and height to each, or just having the a:hover fontsize match the original. A little more critiques: Add a little padding to your c...

Heya, I noticed the 'breakage' too if the browser width is less than 1010px. I'll have the header and footer in the wrapper aswell. Coding (and 3D) is a little boring to me these days, but I'm sure I'll be back one day to work on gamedev someday. I've seen several of your nice 3d models loaded with ...

my new website!

Heya, checkout my new webblog ( http://pixelpretation.com/ ) I did to replace my old orandysoftware.com. My first shot at a wordpress theme. Since then, I decided to write on informative stuff and tutorials, rather than just projects showcases I used to post. Love to hear any feedbacks on the design...

HAHA, I didn't realise I spelt it wrongly the whole time, well then yes the lighting system is lightning fast. You can see the original logo in their wiki page: http://irrlichtnetcp.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page Yes its sad no one had much time to dedicate to keep it up to date, cause its...

Irrlicht Logo

Sorry not for the original Irrlicht engine but for the .net wrapper. 8) I've probably had too much free time on my hands so here's what I did: http://www.orandysoftware.com/user_files/irrcplogo.png I found the text to be a little lengthy, so I repositioned the .net. The X symbol stands for cross pla...

Not a fan of korea/jap art styles but looking good, you can bring it to the next level by drawing and shading in Illustrator (which is easier then shading on paper for me  ).

Hey guys, hadn't been around the forum for a long while. Was busy with school and stuff, and checking out age of conan (very buggy and lack of content). Oh and good work on the deferred shading nadro. It's been sometime when I discovered a lightmapping workflow, but I didn't made any real progress o...

Yes, I can confirm it's not compatable with 64-bit computers. It worked on my Vista32. Could this be IrrCP not supporting 64bits? dlangdev, looks like the cube is missing from the screenshot, thought it casts a stencil shadow. It shouldn't be invisible... I'll see what I can do with those bugs. Than...

Here's it, with the new lightmapped map: http://www.orandysoftware.com/user_files/decengine2008_b.zip Finally I discovered a workflow for mapping. Cinema4D -> .3ds -> Giles -> b3d. Perfect, I used to avoid using 3ds as much as possible but it's the only way importing into giles as all other formats ...

Ah, then there' something wrong with the engine, meanwhile you can try this on another system.

Alright! Added some new lighting effect which will obviously need some work. Updates in the first post. I'd like to hear some feedbacks about the "god ray". Thanks.

Hey Nicholas, I'm sorry I don't know what's wrong with the game on your PC, could be a missing d3dx9_36.dll but I'm just guessing. Install the latest DirectX End-User Runtime ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en ) or simpl...

I downloaded it and it works fine, same for everyone else. What's your system spec? This requires a graphics card with minimum pixelshader 2.0a.
