FIRST: Sorry 4 my english !!
SECOND: ..thanks 2 nico 4 this good engine !
THIRD: MY little Question:
------------------------------
is there an easy and non comercial lighteditor (not irredit !) ??
I have an License from Delgine, MAX 7-9 and others,
but for an single File ( as a Room ) this Lightmapped's Files are to BIG !!
[Example: Mesh=2.48 KB, Pics of Lightmaps=12 MB !! ]
No Problem if you write a Game, but an Problem if you
create ONE Room...
( Why not IrrEdit ? I'm not a beginner in C++, 20 year's under UNIX
and Windows, but IrrEdit (and Irrlicht) have some problems
to read and write an Standard XML Format :
[ under Windows XP writes and reads good,
Error under Vista with the same Code
(OS given Routines "berücksichtigt?" ),
Error under NT and under Win2000
also, [[DX-SDK Sep. 05 || DEZ 06 ]],
Linux gives many Errors under OpenGL)...........
'Or i must write an easy Lightmapper 4 irrlicht 4 myself ??
Mmmhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......2 many work
Back to my Question: is there an license free LightStudio ??
Again, sorry for my UGLY englich

why not IrrEdit?
Why not use Irredit? I use it and it works like a charm!
and btw , if you take the time to work with it for a little while its not hard to figure out how to make things work the way you want them to. seing as you have so much coding experiance , it should be cake for you to figure out workarounds for stuff not implemented in IrrEdit yet.( <- not trying to be a smart ass )
besides the more you add to your workflow the more potential problems you introduce to your pipline( i.e. import/export data loss, file formats ...)
