hey, i never thought about that.... hmmm and it would be way better for performance since it wouldnt have to render it 2x.... great idea

ok so i couldnt resist putting out an extremely early alpha. basically you can just drive tanks around. no collisions yet either.

2005_05_04 Alpha Release:

keycommands are:

arrow keys -> move the tanks

F1 -> Tank 1
F2 -> Tank 2
F3 -> Free Cam

greetings FlyingIsFun1217 :) i added a link above for Linux. i would be curious about how it runs for you and also if the sound appears to be functioning properly.

Everything seems to work very well under linux.

Can't wait for collision detection ;)

nice start :)
one criticism, your font is too tall. keep it under 2048 pixels in any one direction or you may have problems on older graphics cards
