Animate the format .3ds => how to do

Post by The BasheR »

Hello all, Someone said me that the .3ds format could not be animated with Irrlicht, however i can use only this format for my program (because the modelers can make only .3ds models :( ), so i would like to know if someone knows how to animate this format.

Thanks a lot.

As much as I know nothing can animate 3ds files since they did not contain animation data.

You export your model from 3ds Max to .x or .b3d format, irrLicht supports .x and .b3d animation. Google for exporters on these formats.

3ds contains animations, but Irrlicht does not support them.
