Rotating GUI Image - 2D Triangles?

I'm wanting to rotate a 2D image, There doesn't seem to be a function for it for the GUI, I've seen a few people say to apply the texture to an object and rotate the object but I need it so it's on the GUI and in front of some other GUI objects if possible.

I found this link which looks helpful http://irrforge.org/index.php/Playing_2 ... h_Irrlicht but it's broken, anyone know what was on it?
