Put this one on top all the others in the sticky...
You can ado statics for irrlicht with blender, but no othe rso advanced character animator for free, nor even midcost...
And this tut tells one of the tricks for no sliding foot, and seems cover a lot of stuff. The others you posted were ok, but not the full thing as this one. At least not as advanced.
certainly, a must in the sticky...
i wish it'd have been created back in 2002
oh, well, many of those features werent ther eyet...

somehwere burried there is his tech for non sliding feet. Cosider the model and some other stuff is thought for hi res, not real time 3d. Other than that, with some common sense, all is perfectly portable to real time 3d.
Lol, this is what I am allways lazy to do...Must have been a hell of a work to do all the tut...

To the blender sticky! but in first place, if wanna make ppl a favour...
Most of ppl asking is somewhat already initiated...basic tuts pop everywhere; advanced one telling the real KEY things in Blender animation, are really lacking...This one is very good.
Now, to make one for x export...hehe, don't look at me, I am poor, need the time to make money.

Lastly:
Some stuff you do not need it in any way for making real time 3d games stuff, plus other stuff is lacking as is not thought for that (x export is an example, there some more, like using P in edit mode(faces) to separate parts so to fake smoothgroups... ) ...But...the most difficult skill to get is animate in Blender, first for its technical knowledge nature and most importantly...is really hard to get really natural looking movements, but that is at any software, and I guess most ppl would see it ok with ok animations

...also, rigs are very personal. I don't like the usual trend in that in blender, I prefer a more FK style , fo rgames. But to each his own. You are not forced to add toes if your game is low poly strategy from a distance, you dont need to force it all be restricted to ik controls everywhere, etc, etc, etc...
In general, unless I am a bit dumb today, looks like this is the key tut , in the animation part at least, it seems to me without reading it.

whoa! this is the 1st time I see this type of excitement and posts from the same person in a row!
Yup, you're right; it might not cover the export part oriented to game engines but it sure covers the whole process with great detail. And yup,the sticky feet immediately reminded me of you so I thought you would also fin it useful

yes, it is possible.
and..
bend...would be another prob, would have needed and screenshot. Can be bad axis, or some sort of bad export.
and..
Too late, i didnt see that. Inside out is normals inverted, x plugin can flip nromals, or you can do a ctrl+n to recalculate normals outside in blender, or fix in mview.exe.but can somebody tell me how the hell i get this charactor in .md2 or .x
inc. animation without everthing bend or inside out ?
