using 3D World Studio as a level editor

Post by beshrkayali »

hey all

i just want to say that 3D World Studio v5.47 is a great level editor, it's so good, but i'm having a little problem with it.
when i try to use Jpeg or Bmp textures in it, while editin or rendering in the program, the textures looks black, but when exporting they look good, what is the problem?

I'm sure it's not light, cuz i've a light
but It's a texture problem, i'm asking if any ony knows why this program won't take jpeg's and bmps as textures, it can't read them, yet, when exporting a 3D level, Irrlicht deals Okkkkay with it. But i need to see the texture during the design of level, not when after being exported.

so, what's wrong?

3d world editor

3d world editor is an excellent program to use for level editing and terrain editing.

as for the texture problem, you need to make sure that you are using 256k bmp's, for some reason it wont take any higher or else it displays black when in the editor. so just convert all your textures to 256 colors

i'm creating a level with it, i'll stick a photo for my level, when its done, just to make sure for everybody that it is so much better than other level editing softaware.
