People Shooter (source code released!)

Post by xDan »

Hi, this is the beta of my next game, "People Shooter".

Image Image
People are committing suicide by throwing themselves from the castle walls! You must kill them before they hit the ground or the special kind of hell reserved for suicides will become full and EXPLODE!
Download: http://games.xzist.org/files/ShooterSetup.exe

Any improvement suggestions (or bug reports!) would be very much welcome!

EDIT: Source released (http://games.xzist.org/files/source/)

This game is extremly cool ;-)

Nice artwork, very good functionality and the idea is good as well.

I like this kind of things more than any MMORPG announcement.

You are the master of gore, btw where is the demo for the floating things shooter you made a video of.
"Irrlicht is obese"

If you want modern rendering techniques learn how to make them or go to the engine next door =p

Oh wow, the only thing that can look more awesome than those screenshots is the game itself! Very fun and addicting, love the music, and the points =D

Fun! Anyway, why sometimes the human models were like... got holes? I mean sometimes the triangles are missing from their bodies.

This game is pretty original... It's addictive blasting everything and the music/sound effects is really catchy. An awesome game, great job.

Thanks everyone :)

it's broken at the moment :( I was trying to implement clipping of the decals... strange things happened!

I haven't developed for linux before... but hopefully when I have time

Hmm... could you post a screenshot?

P.S. I was going to make this shareware, do you think it's in a ready enough state? Or are there any major improvements I could make?

Also if any of you from these forums uses up the trial (there's a limit of 6 launches) then message me and I will give you a registration key. :)

Thanks for the offer, but at the moment as I said I'd like to release this as shareware. So I'll keep the source to myself for a bit ;) Also there are other complications, like it relying on windows registry for registering a copy + rendering to textures in opengl doesn't seem to be working.
If after a month or two it hasn't sold any copies (which is quite likely :D ) then I'll probably release the source. But if it has, then I'll be motivated to convert it myself 8)

are you guys serious?

I mean what it is a lack of skills.. you guys really get off on cell phone quality games?

don't get me wrong I think this project is great.. great in the same way the other 40 not even as good as bob the builder video games out there.

I haven't even seen a working marble madness or SPACE GAME.. screw this I guess it's going to have to be me.
