3D Animator? Game Project...

Post by FlyingIsFun1217 »

Hey!

For Mech Warfare: Co-op we are looking for a talented Model Animator.

Requirements: (ideal)
- Able to animate mechs (the mechs are bipeds)
- Able to animate weapons
- Spare time to work on this

Optional: (not required, just a big plus)
- Previous experience with the Torque Game Engine (slightly modified for our needs)

Additional information:
Our modelers work with 3D studio max. Other formats are not likely, and this is the end format that is to be used.

How to apply:
Send a email to: mechwarfare@eltaweb.net
It would be a big plus if you can show some previous work.

For more information see:
- Our website and forums
- Mod DB profile (Old pictures kept here for public)

Thanks guys!

Last time i checked this project was based on torque. And if i am not wrong in this assumption you jsut knocked the wrong door. This is an irrlicht forum.

They're just recruiting for a model animator, so it really doesn't have much to do with using Torque or Irrlicht, I suppose.

the pictures really look pretty nice. i hope we can manage irrlicht to render just as beautiful scenes than tourge
We're programmers. Programmers are, in their hearts, architects, and the first thing they want to do when they get to a site is to bulldoze the place flat and build something grand. We're not excited by renovation:tinkering, improving, planting flower beds.

Yes, this is based on torque. Thing is, I'm asking if anyone here would be able to help out with animating 3D mech models. Hence the post being in 'Everything 2d/3d Graphics' ;)

As far as Irrlicht goes, with the right shaders and stuff, the exact same graphics can be achieved. Remember though, we have slightly modified Torque to meet our needs, so this isn't the straight version of torque. Irrlicht does come close :)
