Weird brightness effect - and More!

Have you ever coded for like 4 days straight and like, stepped outside? (Ok I don’t do that its just an example ). You get this weird effect where everything is like really really bright and it hurts your eyes. Well stepping aside from our little walk-through-the-past, I was messing around with post processing RTT’s today (Had to set it so that Irrlicht creates a npot (non power of 2) RTT instead of always creating power of 2 ones…) , and I came up with this little thing. Its still kinda glitchy and im sure im not getting some of the concepts right (Im multiplying where I think I should be adding…), the overall effect still feels kinda cool however.

Ok I couldnt resist I took the time to make another effect in 15 minutes or so.

You know when you are walking around on a hot day, and far away things appear to kind of swirl and disappear in a strange fashion? Here I am trying to recreate this effect to make my landscape appear more like a hot desert (Though this will probably not make it into the final package because it is too silly looking ).

PS: Can we have a "Showcase" forum that is just for these little things but not for Project Announcements. Because I don't know where to put this and I don't want to spam Project Announcements. (Maybe change its name to "Showcase", then atleast less people will feel the need to "Announce" their unfinished or unbegun projects, and instead it will be used to actually showcase real work.)
