Oh, I hope hasn't been said here already, but if it has, is important enough to say twice...

PD:b3d getting rock solid in irrlicht, Max b3d pipeline was updated also...
Imho is a great thing for general Blender game development, having this rock solid plugin now.

EDIT: woah.Seems he also added normal maps..! Optimizations, and more...
Finally making games again!

looks nice, nice site too. I'm glad someone took on the exporter, I'm not enough of a blender user yet.

I haven't really been following it that much lately, I'll have to test it out.

Blender is evolving probably faster than ever...that is my impression...surely helped importantly for the Apricot open game and Peach movie (was so happy the other day when saw they've included a pair of features to "possibly be done" , of those which I suggested in other forum... )...Anyway, wether if gets to be successful in everyone's chain of work, that often depends on a lot of factors, imo, the tool of choice is not so much important these days if gets the job done. But the interesting fact here is that for many is already a high end tool to do the stuff. Of the things that (probably in svn only as I lately use builds more than anything) are already working, are a new cloth system, improved hair, (not for real time 3d, great tho for intro movies ) and of more interest for games, lightmaps creation , general multiuv, bone heat (rigging easier with sort of soft areas of selections for weights) , constraints improves, etc, etc.

I have not tested, but with this update, the production of content for irrlicht should be complete with this format too: lightmapped , or multitextured levels (with possible extra lighting of details in a cheap way, with vertex colors), objects, and fully wighted and animated characters.

I'm very impressed with it. It has all those features but still remains in small size (27MB). How they did that?

 Thanks a lot for this exporter! it's perfectly fitted for the models I'm using.
I just tried it (only a basic export though) and it made my model way better than with .x files and without any modification.
Thanks again :D

After two weeks of work and tests, I've released the new version (2.03) of my Exporter. This release fixes two bugs: the first about the scale and the rotation of the object and the second about the writing of the bones.
In addition, I imporoved the writing speed, gaining 1% for the static models and 5% for animated ones (I know that isn't much but it's better than nothing :)
I believe that this could be the final version but I wouldn't be hasty! :)
Try it and let me know!
