Thats right! You can score up to 275,000 dollars by writing an app for cellphones. One of the categories is games.

The device will support the OpenGL|ES platform, but porting Irrlicht over is not really an option, because the apps have to be written in pure Java. Is anyone interested in entering this kind of thing?

I think i'm too out of touch with java now after switching to C++ and i don't have any damned time for this kinda thing!

Though $275k would kinda set me up nicely for a while...

But I think that the native SDK (so besides this contest) will support C++ based apps, hence Irrlicht could be ported to Android sometimes. But I also dropped interest into this contest once I read about Java only

Wow $275k is a lot, but I don't like Java, nor do I ever intend to use it. I am interested in this contest, but not willing to participate.
