they are incredible, i took the c++ 1 and 2 classes and the dx1 class, they really solidified a lot of my understanding of c++, I havent finished the dx part yet just because I have had a lot of work to do and havent finished it.
Edit: I have no idea what was up with my typing yesterday.. the fixed the last sentence so it makes sense

I was going to argue that the literal meaning of this sentence would be akin to a biker breaking his foot so that he cannot ride a bike, therefore the most helpful thing he could do is teach others how to ride a bike, not in the sense that he doesn't know how to ride a bike.rogerborg wrote:Those who can, do; those who can't, teach.
But then I saw the beard.
Good workthe fixed the last sentence so it makes sense

The game institute courses are good and comprehensive but you can always take an alternative.
Try (good foundation/basics of c++ and some very win32 basics)
A)Frank Luna's Second Edition An Introduction to 3d game programming with directx 9.0c
B) Study Programming Charles River Media Title - Programming a Multiplayer First person shooter with Directx
C) The Directx documentation and examples
Infact www.toymaker.info is good as well.
Probably you build your own engine or infact use irrlicht. You will be able play with irrlicht
