Hi, I was browsing freeware engine looking for something that might adapt itself well to creating a slow paced, fixed camera isometric simulation game. I'm not looking for the greatest of graphics - just something to get the job done. I'm thinking irlicht might be it because it claims to have some great cross-platform support, and also claims to be one of the simpler engines to learn.
Originally I had intended for the 'scene' to be almost baldurs-gate style - a 2d image either hand drawn or created in 3dsmax or something. Is that a possibility in this engine?
Considering using IRRLICHT for a isometric casual sim game
