I honestly have no idea, i'm not a Max user so i don't know if one even exists.

Milkshape certainly has a loader, and Blender might have one you can add, so you could use one of those as a converter?

I don't know of any problems exporting from maya personally, but if you search the forum for discussion on maya then you might find something there.

Basically it will depend on what you're exporting possibly. If it's animated then B3D seems to be the best format for skeletal animations. If it's just static geometry then you can use pretty much anything i guess, like 3DS, OBJ etc.

The main Irrlicht page has a features section which tells you all the model formats supported by irrlicht so you can just pick one and try it.

maybe maya-->ultimate unwrap -->b3d

surely works... can't say for sure. With Max does wonders.

maya -> unwrap3d -> b3d it work! but if your model have more faces (20,000+) when exporting it very slow. But u can use this way more fastest Maya -> unreal model(psk/psa) ->unwrap3d -> b3d it work too and very fast. thanks for reply.

u're wellcome :)

Anyway, 20k for a b3d model? oh, you don't talk bout game character...in irrlicht, maybe'd be better a 2k -3k as much character, then add normal map that was done out of a million tris model.... In case really wanted.

if it's for levels, I understand...

btw, I cant recall, as not maya user never got interested...i know maya has two formats, mb, ma... binary and ascii... does UU suport both imports...did u tried speed in both ?

As maybe maya direct import imports more maya native things... cool for future stuff... see if possible.
