Very nice! Are you interested in working on a project by any chance (Concept art and such), or are you looking for feedback on your drawings? :)

Atm I'm just a 2D artist and 3D artist whit no "project", or something like that, I want to make my own game, but My lack of knowlege on programing keep my ideas on the head. and the only way I can show them is whit my 2D art and 3D art, some feedback about my drawings would be apreciated ofc, if you don't noticed the last draw its a "close" draw of Tsukasa from .Hack//Sigh, so what do you think?

(p.s- wyrmmage what kind of project are you talking about?)

I really like the drawings overall :)

The first drawing is a bit flat looking for some reason, but I like the "blow up" view of the different items the guy is wearing, which look quite 3D.

The second drawing is also good, but not as good as the first one, IMHO; I like the robe, but the blow-up view of the different items didn't work so well in this drawing. It's a bit hard telling what's on the guy's back.

In my opinion, the third drawing is by far the best...the body proportions are quite realistic, as are the overlapping hair and cloth; the perspective of the character slightly falling backwards adds a nice touch to it as well :)

Not to get too off-topic, but the project we need concept art for can be found at www.awkward-games.com/forum/ under the WaW section. The idea is to blend classic FPS action with RTS strategy. Players are divided up into teams and then one member from each team is chosen as the RTS 'captain'; The RTS player then builds buildings/harvests minerals/commands units/etc while each FPS player jumps into a unit and controls that unit from a first person view.

If you check out our forum, we have a fair amount of documentation (around twenty pages I'd estimate) on what the three different races are like, and how gameplay is done in general.

Feel free to PM me either here or on the awkward-game forums if you're interested :)

We basically need someone who can do concept art for some (as many as you'd like to do :P) of our units; the game is Sci-Fi. Here's a link to a "universal unit list" (although it's a bit out of date), that contain descriptions of many of the units. Some of the units have physical descriptions, some do not (The Chronolith units have pretty good physical descriptions compared to the other two races). http://awkward-games.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=146

If you're interested in working on this project, would you mind registering on the awkward-games forums so we can continue discussions there (there are other people on the team that would probably like to talk to you as well) :)

wyrmmage, I have had exactly the same idea of a RTS combined with FPS as you described here. I will definitely check our your game, and I'll be looking forward to see how you will figure out all the challenges you face with this system. Now I'll check out that awkward-games link...

BTW are there any games out the that use this system already, or is this more or less a new kind of game "genre"?

EDIT: Well i read a little bit further on your forums and I realized that your game idea is quite different from the one I had. Image more like a random RTS-game where you some players can take fps control over any unit and use it as he/she likes.
You seam to have more of a complex system with all that ranks and planets and so on. Really cool idea, I will keep and ey eon you for sure.

Not a fan of korea/jap art styles but looking good, you can bring it to the next level by drawing and shading in Illustrator (which is easier then shading on paper for me  ).

Nice drawings, although in my opinion, you should start by drawing human anatomy before heading towards the anime look department. You know? The anime and manga artist know the anatomy, therefore they are able to simplify it to reach the style they want. Practice your anatomy by drawing . Otherwise, Keep it up, good work.
