Well to begin, the problem is specifically with the "View Posts Since Last Visit." I click this, which brings up the posts, and then I enter a topic. But to go back to the page, with the new posts, I have to wait a long period of time around 7 seconds, or I get a "You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while."
I'm almost sure this is related to IE8. I updated from IE7 to IE8 like almost 2 months ago, and I thought at first that this problem was due to the SourceForge problems. Then, at school, I viewed the forums with IE6, and I could push back instantaneously.
I generally wouldn't have a problem with this 7 second wait, but when there are 46 new topics, and I want to go through all of them, it slows me down significantly.
Just curious as to whether anyone else experienced these problems with IE8 or other browsers, and if there are any workarounds.
(By the way, I guess this isn't specifically related to the Irrlicht Forums, but rather PHPBB.)

Nope - Internet Explorer probably doesn't cache the page (the search) like Firefox does, so it requests it again (searching again).Halifax wrote:That is very true. I guess I will just do that. You don't experience this problem in Firefox?torleif wrote:You could upgrade to firefox
