Goretek Alpha wallpaper!!!

Post by afecelis »

Hi guys!

We've been a bit busy these days working hard with Colin. It seems like our alliance is giving fruits!!!!! ha ah ahah a. We've made a good team. I'm working on the levels, and he's doing the programming part.

We'll also develop our own music (I already started working on it) and our 3d animations for intros or cut scenes. There are also plans for some in-game video, so Colin is looking hard at playing Avis in Irrlicht. I don't know what else I can tell....I'd better ask Colin, ha ha haha

So, Goretek is evolving!!!! Expect surprises
ps. The wallpaper is a 1280x1024 bmp

I would define the Gore part of that banner, it is barely visible on my screen and a lot of peeps have stranger moniter configs than mine. They will have a lot of problems reading what you have there.

yeah, i noticed that.... but if you look on our site the gore is very visable... the only reason it is hard to see is because on a light background your eyes ajust to the brightness therefore making it harder to see dark colors... i will look into fixing it

It is a bit more visible on the website but I still have to strain to see on my moniter. Never a good idea to have colours too close to each other as it is impossible to tell other people's moniter config's and often they won't be able to see it.

I agree with Tyn - with my monitor settings (which are acceptable for me in all other cases) I don't see word GORE in your logo - it's all just black.
And your web-site colors are not good at all - small black letters on a gray background - my eyes are telling me that I must switch my OPERA to User mode (black big text on white background)

thnx! Sometimes we use 3dsmax, but in this case we needed lightmaps baked on the level to reinforce the "ambiance" so we used Gtkradiant.

It's a Q3 bsp and then we add the rest of the stuff in it with other 3d file formats (decorations, models, trims, or things we need to cast dynamic shadows).

cheers!
