Could Irrlicht have texture splatting support? But not just for the terrain scene node, I like to use meshes for terrain instead of the heightmap node alot of times so I would need it for both.

Doesn't blindside have somethign in the pipeline as well, and some other people also posted about up to 8 texture splatting materials some month ago...
Oh yeah that, I'll email what I've got so far after I dust it off. It still needs some work regarding a few mipmapping artifacts though and requires shaders.
Or are you talking about the projective texturing? I suppose that can be used for terrain splatting also...
