Looks really cool, especially the water. I'll upload it to the sourceforge server if my "§$§"§$!! account works again ;)

am i missing something, i unpacked and tried the demo (gforce mobile, dx9) and the water looks ... terrible actually (sorry) - it just doesnt look very realistic

have people tried the Ogre water demo? its amazing!

now, the terrain stuff niko just did looks heads above anything on ogre in that regard - seems like water should be up to at least its level

dont compare engines, of course ogre water is nice, but irrlicht is a work in progress, i believe this engine will get so much better. :P

Thank you all.I will try to make some more demos.About the ogre water.
It may be possible to create water of that quality in Irrlicht.I have also tried to use actual spherical mapping in code which i haven't posted.But the environment seems to shift too suddenly in the reflection when the camera moves. I do not know if the problem is with me or with the engine.If it is a problem with the engine, I am sure Niko will smooth it out soon. :)

If you don't like the dark look of the water, disable
node->setmaterialTexture("data/wfloor.jpg);

and may change
setMaterialType(video::EMT_TRANSPARENT_REFLECTION_2LAYER);
you will have a clear reflection.
