Exporting Textures...

Post by Ravi08 »

Hi, soz for askin this i couldnt find anythin bout exportin texture just how to do it.

My question is in Blender if i hav created a mesh then applied texture to it, how do i export the texture so it shows up within Irrlicht.

An example of this would be: say i hav a simple cube within Blender and apply texture type "Wood" to it and set the colours to red and blue, this would result in the cube havin red and blue strips, now if i select the cube and export to 3ds and open it within irrlicht its just red.

Any links/tuts are welcome and thanks in advance

Well its a little bit confusing what you are saying, but I think I understand what you mean. When you say you applied a "Wood" texture to the cube, then everyone think that you downloaded a simple Wood texture maybe from the internet and set it over the UV coordinates to the cube.

But I think you mean the procedual texture wood, which is generated in the blender material system, right ? If so the answer to your question is, that you have to bake a full render to an image. Open the UV coordinate window go into edit mode with your cube, unwrap all faces and bake a full render to a new created image, save this image, thats all!

cheers
