I hate involving religion with work(even though this is more of a hobby)

and I think you have an error on one of your headings.."creat" should be "create", unless its supposed to be like that

So i take it..the games have to be christian oriented.....

Edit:
<rant>
After looking at these entries...i have to question the judges on this.. Some of these projects deserve more then they were given. Cant be judging by "feel" bad opinions.

http://speedgame.christiandevs.com/08/ by checking that page.
Looking at the polish category as a example.. Rpg Maker xp game called The PeaceKeeper took it.. now if you scroll up a bit. to the game play experience category the game is called Mara-Talante it clearly much more polished then the Rpg Maker game. If what im reading is correct.. Then the game submitted is automatically entered into all categories.. So my question remains.. How exactly are these being judged and why didn't Mara-Talante take the polished category? Also can a game only take one prize?

My op pinons are not comparing 2d and 3d hence that's what it may seem. Ive seen plenty of 2d games that were more polished then a 3d game but this just doesn't seem right.

Hope this doesn't offend anyone i just wanted to throw in my 2 cents :/

grumpymonkey: I believe it was supposed to be without the 'e' but i can't remember why (i didn't make it, just entered it).

wildrj: there is a general christian theme to design the games around, but as you can imagine they can get pretty abstract. The judging this year was community-based which I wasn't really a fan of but it's just a contest; not life or death. Actually the guy that ended up winning a ton of prizes was an atheist not even from the forums or something like that. So the scales aren't unbalanced in that way.
As for the judging on earlier years, I guess I can't really comment on that since I wasn't on the judge panel. There get to be disputes like that sometimes, but overall the people that enter are more interested in making games and not so much in getting free loot.
In that one example, the Peacekeeper game wasn't made in RPG-maker. The guys that made it were all just fans of retro-style games. I'm friends with both teams so don't take this as some kind of defence; just an explaination. To be fair though, you should've posted the cutscene screenshot since that was done by hand on a Wacom tablet.

Anyway, nobody is offended and thanks for your two-cents. If you get around to it, you could always try a few of the games (You can probably figure out that "jestermax" is the same person, hehe).
